Testimonials

"Vidya Dadaati Vinayam" - a Sanskrit quote which is befitting the institution that is grooming tots taking their first look at the massive horizon of learning, into responsible human beings that we as parents aspire to see them - that's Jana House of Children!

JHC offers pre-school program following the Montessorian style of learning, extended child care facility, tuitions for school children and much more.

At a pre-school level, the focus is on the overall development of children which range not only from fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensorial learning and other physical development activities, but also exposing children for learning a variety of life skills which include becoming independent, value for time, socializing with kids of varied age groups, environmental hygiene, imbibing cultural & traditional values (through Shlokas, celebration of regional & national festivals etc).

As an extended care facility providing hygienic vegetarian food (breakfast, lunch & evening snacks), JHC emphasizes on every child learning the art of eating by self, amidst other children - thus inculcating community living skills coupled with self sustenance abilities.

Not to forget the learnings the parents get through formal and informal PTMs, seminars conducted by eminent personalities in various fields of occupation (Medicine, Social Service etc.) w.r.t child development, role of parents in child development etc. - make JHC a "sought after" learning center.

Located away from the din of Sanjaynagar, in a 'learn with peace' kind of an environment JHC's heart lies in its founders - Pradeep & Vidya Jana. Pradeep Jana, a highly qualified administrator & Vidya Jana (without any surprise, her name is just a reflection of the citation given at the beginning!), a trained & well-practiced Montessorian in the United States treat every child like their own, catering to each child's requirement in an impecable manner!

Looking back at the decision made a couple of years ago of making our son a part of this establishment, we are extremely satisified today. Thank you JHC!

Jana house of children is a very safe and fun environment for a child to develop. They follow Montessori method of teaching and also emphasise on our culture and traditions. We enrolled our son when he was 1.5 years old and the induction was very smooth. He loves to go to school. The premises is always very tidy and hygienic. They truly make the child independent in many ways like self feeding, self serving, cleaning, choosing their activity etc. Unlike other schools they don’t try to publicise by sending too many pictures/videos of each and every activity. Instead they (Vidya and Pradeep) make themselves available every single day for a quick connect if required and their setup is very transparent. I believe this is more important that just having proof of activities. They also provide wholesome and nutritious food for extended care children. Jana is basically a home outside home where they get mother-like care, learn, have fun and are not over-assessed.

JANA - The institution (school) is very organized. They give individual attention to the child. They give timely advice to the parents that helped me in my child's upbringing. They conduct seminar sessions in Parenting, psychology of the child, etc from knowledgeable people which gives a useful insight about children's behaviour. The teaching syllabus in Jana not only includes academics but also learning life skills and social skills which are equally important in a toddler s development. Children are also introduced to Indian heritage and culture as they are taught shlokas and mythological tales. Finally, as their slogan says "every child is unique" they find a unique talent in each child. Thank you Jana!

Hrishi was nearly 1year 11months young when he joined the "Jana house of children" and till now (over one-and-a-half years later), we have been satisfied with amazing development of our son. We have seen that the school takes care of making child independent in every small aspect like taking off their slippers, keeping or picking back their belongings, eating their snacks themselves, choosing any game of assembling or stocking or arranging etc.,( it is "work" for the child).
Jana House of Children believes in inculcating Indian culture along with modern education which is evident in celebration of festivals, chanting of shlokas, enact stories, songs etc, which definitely have a positive impact on growing mind. Such practises mould the child in various essential behaviours like analysing, discipline, time management, sharing, caring and lot more.
Initially Hrishi used to throw lot of tantrums; eventually, his teacher Ms. Vidya and her supporting staff played a critical role in getting him adjusted to new surroundings.
Ms. Vidya and Mr. Pradeep also took personal interest and gave us many parenting suggestions which have helped in understanding a child's perspective and dealing with different situations.
Once Hrishi started enjoying his pre-school we extended his stay till 2pm. The school provides fresh, nutritious, hot and complete meal which is very much needed for the growing child. It was a better decision, as we could see lot of improvements in his social skills and eating ability. He eats all sorts of veggies now and learned to eat curd rice also.
Thank you for all your support and we are happy to be associated with wonderful, well conceptualised learning center.

Childcare at Jana is professionally managed yet retains a homely character. No TV, supervised activities, atmosphere of service and fresh home cooked meals are some of the advantages. Vidya and Pradeep know that it takes a village to raise a child.

Our daughter joined Jana House of Children when she was one and a half years old. So, Jana has literally been a second home for her.
We've seen that apart from the regular curriculum, Jana school specially focuses on imparting key life skills to the child which will definitely set them up to face the real world in the future. Also, they have done a fabulous job of rooting the children to Indian values and culture. Both these aspects have helped bring out self-discipline and a certain courteousness in our child which we find very valuable.
Parent teacher meetings have a specific agenda and the teachers are very invested in the progress of the child.
Ever since our daughter has started the extended care at Jana a few months back, we've seen a marked change - she's doing her work more independently, be it eating or changing her clothes. At three years now, she eats without help and doesn't waste any food. She has also become more expressive and articulate, thanks to the interactions at school.
At such a young age, we believe that it is essential for a child to have a home-like atmosphere and care at school and we don't think there's a better place than Jana House of Children to give them that. Once you drop your kid at Jana, you definitely don't have to worry about how she/he is being taken care of.
P.S. Vidya Ma'am's sambar is apparently the best sambar in the whole world according to my little one.

Our daughter, Aakruthi will be completing 2 years of play schooling in Jana House of Children this year and we are happy and satisfied with what she has learnt in this school. We thank Mrs Vidya, Mr Pradeep and the supporting staff for their guidance, values and the foundation they have imparted to our daughter. The principles of Montessori, mixing with young and old children and learning together, working with innovative Montessori materials has helped our child show interest in learning new things and has taught her to show compassion to old and young. The numerous personal parenting sessions with Pradeep and Vidya, which sometimes lasted for hours, has given us good information on how to handle challenging situations with our child. The sessions with renowned psychologists about parenting, the health and dental check-up, diet counselling and other activities were all very helpful for us. Not to forget the field trip organized by the school to Chiguru Farms which everyone enjoyed a lot.
I strongly recommend Jana House of Children pre-school for the value based learning and individual attention they provide to the child, security to the children, cleanliness of the school, good child care by friendly supporting staff and time given to parents to discuss the child’s progress. I wish Pradeep and Vidya in their future endeavour and thank them for their good work.

JHC is place which provide strong foundation to the kids for growing in future. Our son, Vihaan has joined JHC since he was 2 years old and he is completing 2years with happy learning now. Here teaching methods is completely different where child enjoy with their activities and they apply all the learning techniques in their day today life. As a parent it's not so easy to trust any school for sending your kid in his early age... but it is the place where you can trust easily without a doubt. I noticed JHC is hygienic, organised, and secure for the kids. My son goes to day care as well for JHC where it's homely feeling for him. Vidya madam is doing very good work. We are very lucky to have this facility.
Best wishes to JHC for the years to come. May you give the society many more happy kids and parents.

Our son has been with Jana house of Children since he was 2.5 years old. Within just 6 months, he has shown tremendous improvement in various aspects of development. From being a sensitive and shy toddler, he is slowing maturing into an independent and outgoing child. From being a picky eater, he has now become more open with food, especially fruits.
All credit goes to Mrs. Vidya's efforts at bringing holistic development of the child at an early age. Learning at Jana goes beyond the ABCs and beautifully integrates emotional management, communication skills, a curiosity to explore and works to instil independence in the child. Most importantly, Mr and Mrs Jana believe that parents and teachers are a team working towards the well-being of a child. They make it a point to hold periodic meetings with parents to understand our expectations, discuss the child's strengths and weaknesses and offer effective tips. We will be indebted to Mr and Mrs Jana and the staff of Jana House of Children for laying out this strong foundation in our son.
Thanks for your kind gesture and support.

My daughter Vidushinihas been with Jana House of Children for tuition for past three years from her Nursery. As a working mother, I had lot of difficulties in teaching her the basics in English and of course the basic skill of learning. But, Vidya ma'am has really helped me in lot of things by teaching her using Montessori methods. Now my daughter is able to spell any word and she started reading sentences on her own. She has got the basics in Hindi Alphabets, Mathematical addition & subtraction only from here. This really helped her to do the homework's on her own. I really admit Sanskrit classes along with shloka classes done by the Jana House in the weekends is giving her strong foundation for spirituality and these classes will improve the memory power of the children in the long run. Apart from education, she inculcates strong discipline which changed my daughter's behaviour and attitude totally. I think for any child to grow as responsible adult both curriculum and co-curriculum are needed. This is properly executed by Vidya ma'am and Pradeep sir where they conduct other classes like Carnatic vocal classes, drawing classes where my daughter is being trained by highly professional teachers. Jana House of Children has built the confidence in my daughter and is giving her the strong foundation to face this highly competitive futuristic world.
